I'm lucky to be born in Bogor. Bogor is one of the west java's city. It's about 48 km from the biggest city in Indonesia called Jakarta and approximately 120 km from Bandung as the capital city of west java.
There are many tourism interesting places in Bogor. Such as, the Presidential Palace, Botanical Garden, Safari Garden, Tea plantation, The Mekarsari Fruit Garden, some tourism mountain object like Mt. salak, Mt. Halimun, Mt. Gede-Pangrango, and many more (that's what i know ;).
According to the title above, i would tell a little description about.
Mount Salak is one of the National Park in Indonesia, combined with mount Halimun called the Conservation of National Park Halimun Salak. It's taken based on the Letter of Indonesia Ministry Forest No.175/Kpts-II/2003. Now, the National Park of Halimun Salak is the widest tropical rain forest mountain in java.
The height mount salak is about 2.211 m under the sea. There are two main tourism objects in mount salak, some waterfalls and the hot spring water.
At least 5 waterfalls I remember spread in mount salak. Cigamea, Seribu, Ngumpet, Luhur, and Nangka waterfalls. They are all very awesome. You can not miss it when you visit this Mount. Beside the waterfalls, Mount Salak still has the other tourism object, it is hot spring water that's created from the last explosive occured in 1936. Kawah Ratu creator is the well-known hot spring water in this mount. You must climb up the mount to reach this creator, about 2 hours tracking through the jungle, for sure it will be an unforgatable moment.
Mount salak is an icon of Bogor.
